The bay of Palma is situated in the southwest of the island of Mallorca. A part of the coast is part of the municipality of Calvia, while the other two are among the municipalities of Palma and Llucmajor. It covers an area of about 260 square kilometers and is on the list of the most beautiful bays in the world. From this point begins west, between the Cala Figuera and the lighthouse Portopí, the highway at the beginning of the city – also known as Paseo Maritimo known. Here is the Club de Mar with its luxury yachts, yachting shops and restaurants. At the end, facing east, the mountain Randa, with its 543 meters above sea level, where the village of Randa and the sanctuaries of Gracia, Sant Honorat and Cura (18th c.). Here lived in a small cave to meditate for a season, Raimon Llull – one of the most important philosophers in the history of mankind.
