Webcam Tobay Beach
Know before you go. That’s the idea behind the new TOBAY beach live cam that the Town of Oyster Bay recently installed so residents can check out the conditions before they head out.
“We recently launched a live-feed of the beach for you to evaluate the crowds and weather conditions before making a trip to the barrier island,” the town said in an email.

All Long Island town beaches are restricted to residents-only. Recently, a task force consisting of Long island’s town Supervisors released a bi-county plan for their beaches. The organization, called the Nassau/Suffolk Towns’ Summer Operations Task Force first came together in the beginning of May to hammer out their plans and just before the Memorial Day Weekend they released an outline that has been submitted to New York State.
The policy document sets guidelines agreed upon by all Nassau and Suffolk Townships that will ensure residents have a safe summer while enjoying the shoreline.
New York State has limited beach capacity to 50%. Sports and playground activities are prohibited at the beach, picnic areas are closed, and masks must be worn by all visitors when social distancing is not possible.
