The moving live streaming webcam is set in the Southeast Farallon Island, the only inhabited part of the islands. It provides excellent sights towards to the rocky peaks and rugged shores as well as to the marine mammals and birds.
The Farallon Islands National Wildlife Refuge is a significant reserve with a vast colony of birds, five species of seals, and rodents. The surrounding waters are abundant with diverse marine life and protected by the Greater Farallones National Marine Sanctuary.
The webcam is a partnership of the California Academy of Sciences, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and the Point Blue Conservation Science.
