Valencia del Mombuey Bird Feeder
Valencia del Mombuey Bird Feeder Extremadura Webcam Live – Valencia del Mombuey Wildlife Camera, Spain
This live webcam camera shows a scavenging bird feeder set in the peaceful countryside of Valencia del Mombuey, in the heart of Extremadura, Spain, near the Portuguese border in the province of Badajoz. This webcam provides fascinating live views of birds of prey and other wildlife gathering at the feeding station against a backdrop of wide open landscapes.
With this webcam live stream, you can watch impressive species such as the Leonardo Vulture (Buitre Leonardo), the Red Kite (Milano real), and various corvids as they glide overhead and swoop down to feed. The live camera captures their natural behaviour throughout the day, offering a unique window into the daily life of these remarkable birds.
This wildlife webcam is part of the LIFE Eurokite Project, an international conservation initiative focused on protecting the red kite and other birds of prey. Using GPS tracking and monitoring, the project works to identify and reduce threats to these species across Europe. Running from 2020 to 2027, it brings together 18 partner organisations from multiple EU countries.
The project is coordinated by MEGEG, an Austrian organisation dedicated to raptor conservation, with active participation from AMUS – Acción por el Mundo Salvaje, a Spanish wildlife protection group. AMUS monitors red kite populations and mortality in Extremadura, Andalusia, and mainland Portugal, helping to strengthen bird populations in southwest Spain.
