Higashi Honganji Temple

Honganji Hongan-ji, initially built in 1658, to boot known as the Eastern Asylum of the Primary Promise, and broadly called Ohigashi-san in Kyoto. The Founder’s Hallway, at the center of the haven, is one of the world’s greatest wooden structures showing a wooden picture of Shinran, the creator of Jōdo Shinshū Buddhism. Interior Higashi Honganji there’s a catacomb from the 12th century containing the cinders of Shinran.
