The live webcam above shows you Borsa Square (Piazza della Borsa) in the city centre of Trieste, in the Friuli Venezia Giulia region, Italy. The imposing Greek–style building you see is Chamber of Commerce, founded in 1755; on your right-hand side is Palazzo del Tergesteo, a majestic neoclassic building, founded in 1842; at the centre of the square stands a statue of Leopoldo I D’Asburgo, the Holy Roman Emperor who was in the city in 1660, as well as the Neptune fountain (Fontana Di Nettuno) with the trident. Trieste is a port and historic city on the Gulf of Trieste, close to the border to Slovenia.
