Saltstraumen, Bodø
The moving live webcam takes you to the popular strait of Saltstraumen where it happens the world’s most grounded tidal current, in Norway. The little strait, close the town of Bodø, is 3 km long and 150 meters wide interfacing Saltfjord and the Skjerstadfjord, and isolating the islands of Straumøya and Knaplundsøya. The whirlpools can be seen every six hours with water speeds up to 37 kilometers per hour as the tide tries to fill Skjerstadfjord.
