This is a webcam showing Pirámides, located in Madrid Spain. Pirámides station is a Madrid Metro station in Madrid city centre. It was opened on 5 June 1968 and is one of the oldest stations on Line 5 of the Madrid Metro. It gives access to the Vicente Calderón Stadium, home to the Atlético Madrid football club, and is located in fare Zone A. The station also offers interchange with Cercanías Madrid via Pirámides railway station. The roundabout of the Pyramids constitutes the eastern access to the Toledo Bridge in Madrid , one of the historic bridges that spans the Manzanares River . He initially called Roundabout Bridge Toledo , was named two obelisks built by Francisco Javier de Mariétegui and erected in the square in 1831 (other sources say 1830). Currently , Toledo Street (formerly Paseo de los Ocho Hilos), Paseo de Yeserías converge at the roundabout(which runs parallel to the Manzanares river , to the south), the Paseo Imperial , the Paseo de las Acacias (natural route from Atocha through Acacias ) and Alejandro Dumas street (formerly Las Cambroneras street) which initially runs parallel to the Manzanares river towards the north, and from which the Paseo de los Melancólicos leaves shortly afterwards, to the left . The Puente de Toledo connects the roundabout with that of the Marqués de Vadillo , on the other side of the Manzanares.
