Bosanci is one of the oldest settlements in Suceava County, located approximately 8 km southeast of the city of Suceava. For 144 years, the village of Bosanci was part of the Bukovina province, under Austrian rule, being included in the Suceava district. The first school in Bosanci was founded in 1859, and on August 25, 1907, it was moved to a modern two-story building constructed in the Austrian style. In 1888, following a commercial and customs convention between Austria-Hungary and Romania, a customs point was established in the commune, thus contributing to the development of trade between the two countries. In the nearby Ponoare Secular Hay Meadows Reserve, there is an extraordinary flora, including rare species, alongside exceptionally beautiful hay meadows.
