New York Harbor – Red Hook Live Webcam

This live HD webcam streams from the Waterfront Museum in Red Hook, Brooklyn, offering a sweeping view over the Red Hook Channel in the Upper New York Bay. Through this webcam live feed, you can watch ships, tugboats, and maritime traffic moving between the Verrazzano Bridge and the entrance of the Buttermilk Channel, in one of the most important waterways of New York City.

The Waterfront Museum, established in 1985, is located aboard the historic Lehigh Valley Barge No. 79, built in 1914 and now anchored in the former shipping docks of Red Hook. From this peaceful waterfront location, the live webcam captures close-up views of working vessels, cargo traffic, and daily harbor activity, blending New York’s maritime heritage with its modern skyline.

As the camera pans across the bay, viewers can spot some of New York’s most famous landmarks, including the Statue of Liberty, Staten Island, and Pier 44 Waterfront Garden, a hidden green space known for some of the best sunset views in the city. The large waterfront building visible in the scene is the Liberty Warehouse, a historic structure now used as a prestigious event and wedding venue overlooking the harbor.

The Upper New York Bay is where both the Hudson River and the East River meet before flowing into the Atlantic Ocean. This live webcam offers a unique perspective of a bay that is shared between New York State and New Jersey, making it one of the most iconic and dynamic waterways in the United States.
