Monument Square Cam ME

This live-streaming webcam provides a view of Monument Square in downtown Portland, Maine, United States. At the center of the square stands the Portland Soldiers and Sailors Monument, commonly known as “Our Lady of Victories.” This historic landmark has occupied the square since 1891, built on the former site of Portland’s City Hall, and remains the focal point of this important civic space.

The monument features a sculpted figure of the goddess Victory atop a granite pedestal and was created to honor the Portland soldiers and sailors who served during the American Civil War. It is one of the city’s most recognizable and meaningful historical landmarks.

For the Christmas season, a 40-foot red spruce tree has been placed in the square, adding a warm and festive atmosphere to the area. The live streams are presented by Hood® Eggnog in partnership with the Portland Public Library, allowing viewers around the world to enjoy the seasonal display in real time.
