Schoenmarkt Cam, Mechelen

Welcome to the charming city centre of Mechelen, in the province of Antwerp in Belgium. The live streaming webcam is located at the Schepenhuis building, a Historic stone building now a city museum and Tourism office on Schoenmarkt (Schuster market), facing the statue of Margaret of Austria located at the major Grote Markt square (Great Market Square). Margaret of Austria (1480-1530) was a prominent political figure in the early 16th century, and ruled for some time Habsburg Netherlands from Mechelen. The statue is next to the 13th century Saint Rumbold’s Cathedral and its famous St. Rumbold’s Tower, an important tourist destination in the city whose location you can see down on the map.
