Regional Research Vessels Live Gulf Island Shipyards, Louisiana

This live webcam stream offers multiple views of three Regional Class Research Vessels under construction at Gulf Island Shipyards in Houma, Louisiana.

The project is led by Oregon State University and forms part of the University-National Oceanographic Laboratory System (UNOLS), funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF).

The first vessel, R/V Taani, will operate from Oregon State University on the U.S. West Coast. The second ship, R/V Narragansett Dawn, will be operated by University of Rhode Island. The third vessel, R/V Gilbert R. Mason, will be jointly operated by University of Southern Mississippi and Louisiana Universities Marine Consortium.
